BlueWaveNJ
seeks to foster and support the progressive
movement in the state of New Jersey, finding
solutions through community. The
organization supports candidates for office,
involves citizens in the political process,
provides public forums for speakers,
educates the public on political and social
issues, and promotes progressive policy on
the local, state, and national levels.

Planned events for 2009
include the BlueWave
Caribbean Ball; a
women’s film festival; the
spring eco-fair; town hall
budget and economic
meetings; a fall educational
forum; a conference on race
relations with the state
NAACP; and a symposium on
domestic trafficking of
minors, to name only a few.
In addition, we
are converting our action
center on Bloomfield Ave.,
opened during the election,
to a community center that
will provide services in
after-school tutoring,
mentoring, and job
counseling. Read more
